Coastal reflections with Patrick Barkham

Author and journalist Patrick Barkham visited Dover and South Foreland Lighthouse to do research for his forthcoming book about the National Trust's Neptune Coastline Campaign. In my role as Media and External Affairs Intern, I met up with Patrick to ask him about his relationship with the coast and how his book is progressing so far.

The Cyril Diver Project

Cyril Diver was an eccentric naturalist who studied and mapped the Studland Peninsula in the 1930s. A project was launched in spring 2013 to look at Diver’s ecological records and maps – and bring together experts and volunteers to reinvestigate the ecology, geomorphology and history of this ever-changing environment. I realised that the story had some really fascinating angles, so in my role as Media and External Affairs Intern with the National Trust I used my video training to direct, shoot, and edit the following short about the project.
